This a photo gallery of some of London's more unusual sights I see on my travels, which I thought you might find amusing.

No, not Hong Kong, but the River Thames.
There are various areas in the River Thames where people can moor houseboats. Although small, these contain every luxury and are a pretty shrewd move on the part of the owners.
Why?
Because they get to live in the centre of London, in the best areas, with a river view, access to the finest restaurants – and all for a fraction of the cost of owning a house or apartment.

You might think this is a sit down protest, but you'd be wrong!
This is the sight you will see in any of London's many parks on a sunny day, around lunch time.
Not for nothing are London's parks called "the green lungs of London". Most of them were originally started by the monarch as their private hunting estates and now they provide a welcome respite from the office, at the middle of the working day.

They don't make them like this any more!
The Second World War was a momentous chapter in the long history of London.
So the part all played, including that of our American cousins, is remembered here at the Hendon RAF Museum which features original warplanes from that era – including this lovingly preserved American built Mustang.
